Job summary

Stiltz Homelifts is seeking a Builder's Assistant / Labourer based in Birmingham to join a skilled trades team. You will assist with installing Stiltz Homelifts in domestic homes, working alongside an experienced builder/carpenter and supporting with daily duties on the job.

You will gain carpentry and multi-trades experience, travel as needed, and contribute to openings in ceilings. A full UK driving licence is essential, and a DBS check will be carried out due to work in customers' homes.

Qualifications

• Basic carpentry/building/assembly skills required.
• NVQ Carpentry or related qualification preferred.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential for travel to locations.
• DBS check will be undertaken due to work in customers' homes.

What you'll do

You'll be working as part of a skilled trades team, assisting with the installation of our award winning Stiltz Homelifts within domestic homes.

You will be working alongside a skilled and experienced builder/carpenter, assisting with daily duties, gaining valuable carpentry/ multi-trades skills and experience on the job. You will support our experienced builder form openings in customers' ceilings.

What you'll need

• Basic carpentry/building/assembly skills, a positive 'can do' attitude and a genuine desire to learn.
• Ideally, NVQ Carpentry or related qualification.
• We value reliability, so punctuality is a must. You can be counted on to be on time and ready to work.
• Flexibility/willing to travel and work away from home, if required.
• Full UK Driving License is essential as a company vehicle will be provided. You will be required to travel to various locations.
• DBS Check – due to working within customers' homes we will be required to carry out a DBS check which the company will undertake.
