Job summary

Key Talent Solutions is seeking a Facade Designer to join a glazing and facade specialist working on external envelope projects across glazing, cladding and remediation. You will translate survey findings and technical requirements into clear, buildable design details to support safe delivery on site.

The role involves producing GA drawings, elevations and construction details, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, and supporting site teams with technical queries during construction.

Qualifications

• Experience in facade, glazing, cladding, curtain walling, external envelope design.
• Strong AutoCAD and/or Revit capability.
• Understanding of external wall systems and on-site construction.
• Knowledge of fire safety detailing, cavity barriers and facade remediation.
• Able to interpret drawings, surveys and BIM/existing building information.
• Attention to detail and clear communication.
• Confident working with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Facade, glazing and building envelope design.
• GA drawings, elevations, sections and construction details.
• Glazing interfaces, curtain walling, cladding and EWI/render details.
• Fire safety detailing, cavity barriers and fire-stopping interfaces.
• Reviewing survey information, existing drawings and site conditions.
• Coordinating with consultants, suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Supporting site teams with technical queries during construction.
• Helping develop compliant, practical and buildable design solutions.
