The Build Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a build team to ensure all units are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards. This is a hands‑on role with a focus on efficiency, craftsmanship, team motivation, and continuous improvement.
Key areas of responsibility include :
Delivering Builds on Time
- Manage and coordinate the build team to ensure units are completed according to the production schedule.
- Motivate the team to achieve performance targets while maintaining quality.
- Monitor individual and team productivity, addressing issues or recognising strong performance.
- Support skill development within the team and identify potential future supervisors.
- Track build progress against allocated time for each stage and discuss variances with the Production Manager.
Upholding Quality Standards
- Ensure work meets company quality standards at all stages.
- Verify completion and documentation of all required quality checks.
- Analyse snagging reports, provide feedback to the team, and prevent recurrence of issues.
Meeting Budget and Material Targets
- Control labour and material usage to ensure builds remain within budget.
- Review build performance against budgeted costs and investigate variances with management.
Process Consistency & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain repeatable and efficient build methods.
- Uphold high health & safety standards at all times.
- Lead by example with strong housekeeping, organisation, and professional behaviour.
- Support your team confidently, even under pressure.
- Drive continuous improvement in build processes, quality, and efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience within construction, manufacturing, or modular builds.
- Knowledge of quality control, health & safety regulations, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Health & Safety qualifications are desirable.
- Proven experience achieving build targets and maintaining high quality standards.

- Ability to oversee daily build operations and adjust resources as required.
- Authority to halt unsafe or poor‑quality work and elevate issues when needed.
- Comfortable managing deadlines and high‑pressure situations.
