A leading leisure company is seeking a Shift Manager for their restaurant department in Bognor Regis. This operational role requires an experienced leader to oversee daily tasks, support the team, and ensure high guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in training and coaching staff in a fast-paced food environment. This position offers a dynamic workplace that prioritizes guest service while maintaining operational standards.
The Shift Manager will be the main point of contact for the team during the working day in the Buffets restaurant department. Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Shift Manager will ensure daily operational plans are fulfilled by ensuring that relevant tasks and objectives are carried out by the team and that the team are in the right place at the right time to meet fluctuating guest demand while keeping operational standards and guest experience high. You will support and coach the team to deliver a great experience and drive key targets such as add-on sales or promotions.
This is an operational guest-facing role and any non-guest-facing tasks will be allocated as time within your working week to allow you to spend the majority of your time within the venue and with guests.
Typical working hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 split shifts. Breakfast shifts are 7.30am - 12pm, dinner shifts are 4pm - 8pm.
We are looking for an experienced leader from within a volume-led F&B environment who can support the team to deliver fantastic service. Putting guests first in everything you do, you will have experience in training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment to deliver an excellent experience.
You should have previous experience leading within a busy restaurant or food environment where a balance of speed and quality is important. You should be confident to direct and respond in any situation while delivering consistent brand standards. The ability to lead, motivate and engage your team, even at periods of high demand, is important, as well as being able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements. With strong leadership skills, you should be confident in inspiring your team to deliver amazing results for the teams and guests every day.
