Job summary

National Centre for Writing seeks UK-based literary translators to join the 2027 Visible Communities programme as residents. The residency options include a Virtual Residency (Feb–May 2027) and a Cottage Residency (Jan 2027) with a stipend and a travel allowance.

Successful applicants will develop a commission for NCW and participate in events, with mentorship support throughout. Applications open for writers translating into English from any language, with a focus on diaspora and heritage

• Write a piece for the Visible Communities section of the NCW website.
