IMG Studios is seeking an experienced Broadcast Technology Engineer to support our live studios, transmission and post-production facilities. You will troubleshoot and maintain critical broadcast systems in a fast-paced, live environment.

The role requires a strong technical background in modern broadcast systems, IP infrastructures, and fault diagnosis. Candidates with hands-on experience across studio, post-production or transmission environments will excel.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Broadcast Engineering or Production Engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of live broadcast workflows and IP-based infrastructures.
  • Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding in studio, transmission or post-production settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support across studio, transmission and post-production environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting live broadcast operations.
  • Support and maintain IP-based broadcast infrastructure and production systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, server and network-related issues.
  • Support engineering projects, upgrades and technology deployments.
  • Work closely with operational teams, clients and production stakeholders.

Hours of Work: Average 40 hrs per week on shift basis

Location: Stockley Park, Uxbridge (free on-site parking)

Shift Pattern: 7 x 12-hour shifts per fortnight, including weekends

About the Role

IMG Studios is looking for an experienced Broadcast Technology Engineer to support our live studios, transmission, and post-production facilities.

This role is suited to an established engineer with a strong technical background in modern broadcast systems, IP-based infrastructure, and fault diagnosis. We are not looking for candidates seeking an entry-level opportunity or their first engineering position.

Working within a fast-paced live broadcast environment, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and supporting critical broadcast systems used across some of the industry's most prestigious live productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support across studio, transmission and post-production environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting live broadcast operations.
  • Support and maintain IP-based broadcast infrastructure and production systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, server and network-related issues.
  • Support engineering projects, upgrades and technology deployments.
  • Work closely with operational teams, clients and production stakeholders.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and continual service improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and technical records.
  • Proven experience within a Broadcast Engineering, Broadcast Technology or Production Engineering environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience supporting live broadcast infrastructure in studio, post-production or transmission environments.
  • Solid understanding of broadcast workflows and live production operations.
  • Experience supporting Windows, MacOS, servers and broadcast applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective during live incidents.
