Job summary

Conference Technologies UK Limited is seeking an experienced Media Engineer to own the complete technical delivery lifecycle—from customer consultation through system design, deployment, commissioning and final handover.

You'll lead design, FAT/SAT and training, consult with clients, and drive projects to meet exact specifications while travelling across the UK and Europe to support prestigious clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in broadcast, media, production or systems engineering.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements through commissioning.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with designing and documenting broadcast architectures.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand workflows, operational requirements and project objectives.
• Translate customer needs into practical, scalable and technically robust solutions.
• Provide trusted technical consultancy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design broadcast, media and production systems from concept through to delivery.
• Create: Signal flow diagrams, Network topologies, Rack elevations, System schematics, Bills of Materials.
• Produce detailed engineering documentation and installation drawings.
• Act as the technical lead during deployment and integration.
• Support installation teams and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Commissioning & Testing: configure, test and commission systems; lead FAT/SAT and UAT.
• Training & Handover: deliver training, produce as-built docs and handover packs.

Formats include high-definition, UHD, and HDR video systems deployed using analog, SDI, and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.-Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL’s, QoS, VLAN’s, and Wireless Access Points.-Experience with various hardware and software architectures, including: High Performance Data Storage (SAN, NAS), Video and Media Data Management (Archive and Backup Strategies), Media Asset Management Platforms (MAM) - CatDV, IPV, Primestream, Dalet, Reach Engine, Edit Share, Iconik, networking, cloud platforms, and storage architecture.
