Overview

Job Title: BSL Learning Support Assistant

Location: Rotherham

Hours: 25 hours per week, term time only

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £23,971 FTE (£13,642.50 pro rata) + £6.59 per hour enhancement when carrying out BSL duties

The ideal candidate will:

  • Provide tailored support to Deaf learners using BSL
  • Assist in classroom activities and promote inclusive learning
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to meet individual learner needs
  • Have experience in a Learning Support or Teaching Assistant role
  • Hold a Level 3 BSL qualification
  • Have an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)

  • Minimum of Level 3 British Sign Language qualification
