Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and visionary Bridal Wear Designer to join us on this exciting new journey. The right candidate will combine creativity with technical expertise, translating Kai’s design DNA into contemporary, expressive, and luxurious bridalwear. This role is an opportunity to be part of shaping an entirely new category for the brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and conceptualise bridal wear ideas that reflect Kai Collective’s bold, innovative aesthetic.
  • Design bridal gowns and bridal-inspired pieces with a focus on individuality, inclusivity, and modern romance.
  • Create mood boards, sketches, and CADs to present ideas and concepts.
  • Source fabrics, lace, trims, and embellishments in line with Kai’s design vision.
  • Collaborate with production partners to ensure the highest standard of fit and finish.
  • Prepare technical drawings and oversee sampling from concept through to final garment.
  • Attend fittings and refine designs to achieve the perfect silhouette and feel.
  • Stay ahead of bridal fashion trends while pushing boundaries and reimagining what bridalwear can be.
Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in bridal, eveningwear, or couture design.
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates originality, fabric knowledge, and a flair for modern bridal or luxury womenswear.
  • Excellent understanding of draping, construction, and fabric manipulation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and other design tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for craftsmanship and innovation.
  • Ability to translate brand identity into wearable, aspirational bridal pieces.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and excited about building something new within a growing brand.
