Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in the North West is seeking a Brick Lecturer to deliver practical workshop and classroom theory sessions to learners working towards brickwork qualifications. You'll bring industry knowledge into the workshop, guiding learners through techniques, standards and on-site working practices.

You'll manage the workshop with clear structure, assess learning activities, mark work, provide feedback, and maintain health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in brickwork.
• Substantial hands-on industry experience in bricklaying.
• Good communication and workshop management skills.
• Sound understanding of current industry standards and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging practical and theory sessions across brickwork programmes.
• Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
• Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
• Maintaining a safe workshop environment and high standards of health and safety.
• Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body requirements.
• Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
