Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Ltd. is seeking a Bricklaying Performance Coach to train and assess apprentices in workplace environments across the North West. The role combines hands-on coaching with portfolio development and regular progress reviews to help learners meet industry standards.

The position offers a permanent contract, with travel to various sites, and a structured learning path including funded teacher training and ongoing professional development. Salary is £32,000–£40,000 FTE.

Qualifications

• Strong vocational background in bricklaying with industry experience.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring and assessing learners.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to workplace settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess bricklaying apprentices in workplace settings and conduct progress reviews.
• Lead portfolio development and coaching aligned with bricklaying apprenticeship standards.
• Maintain accurate assessment documentation and learner progress records.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers to support learner progress.
• Instill industry standards and professional practice in apprentices.
