Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is recruiting a Brick Tutor for a further education provider in Yorkshire. You will deliver practical and theory-based brickwork sessions, bringing your trade experience into the workshop to help learners gain skills, knowledge and confidence for employment.

You will plan and prepare sessions, assess progress and support learners throughout their programme as part of an established team. Industry background with teaching development support is welcome.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 (or higher) qualification in brickwork or bricklaying.
• Substantial practical experience in the trade.
• The ability to motivate and support learners to achieve.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theoretical brickwork sessions to learners at a range of levels.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Assess and monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapting teaching and learning materials to meet individual learner needs.
