Overview
We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Part Time, 16 hours Breakfast Chef at Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport. Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport is a 130 bedroom hotel established in 2020. Situated on the doorstep of Inverness Airport, we aim to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment throughout the bar/bistro, one meeting room and a gymnasium. Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport is managed by Lighthouse Hotel Management, which is the operational arm of the Molo Hotel Group.
Responsibilities
- As the Breakfast Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the breakfast buffet and fuelling our guests to take on the day ahead.
- You will be working 16 hours per week over 2 days; overtime and holiday cover are available.
- Dining Experience: be part of a team of passionate individuals who put their heart and soul into every dish, with a can-do attitude and pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Collaboration: work with various hotel functions, notably the food and beverage team, to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and an enchanted dining experience for each guest.
- Problem Solving: respond to guest requests, meal modifications, complaints and challenging situations with attention to detail and composure, turning obstacles into opportunities to showcase guest satisfaction.
- Kitchen Representation: maintain a clean, hygienic and compliant working environment, lead by example in understanding and implementing all hotel procedures and standards, and guide the team on food handling, preparation and work station hygiene to ensure compliance with all food and hygiene requirements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role may be beneficial but is not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Additional language proficiency is a bonus.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experience with an adaptable approach to alteration requests in line with allergen requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A drive to work as part of a team to exceed expectations and promote the hotel's brand and services.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as our hotel operates 24/7.
