Here at Camp Glide we have an exciting opportunity for someone to make a positive difference in childcare. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fun and dynamic environment where you’ll help create engaging and safe spaces for children.

Camp Glide is a local wrap around care provider for multiple schools in the Horley, Crawley Reigate/Redhill, Merstham and Banstead area.

About Us

Camp Glide provides high-quality wraparound care for children in primary schools, including after school clubs and holiday programmes. Our focus is on creating a positive, supportive, and safe space where children can thrive.

Duties
  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Lead and support games, creative activities, and free play.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and caring atmosphere.
  • Support with snack preparation and club setup/pack-down.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.
  • Encourage positive interactions among children.
  • Maintain a clean and organised play area.
What we are looking for
  • Previous experience working with children in a play or educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A genuine interest in child development and the ability to create an inclusive environment for all children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
  • A relevant qualification in childcare, teaching or playwork would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to undergo training.
Hours:
  • Morning shifts: approx 7:20am-8:50am (Monday–Friday).
  • Afternoon shifts: approx 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Monday–Friday).
  • 1.6 - 22 hours per week, with opportunity for additional hours during holidays.
  • Term-time only with optional holiday club work available.
