Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Trade Mark Attorney or IP Solicitor for a Branding & Intellectual Property team in London. The role offers a defined 18-24 month track to Partnership and involves advising on busy UK, EU and international trade mark work for prestigious brands across creative industries.

You will manage client relationships, deliver high-quality technical advice, and contribute to growing the practice's brand protection and IP offerings within a leading London firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales and/or UK Qualified Trade Mark Attorney.
• 6-10 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience within a recognised trade mark or intellectual property practice.
• Extensive experience in trade mark clearance, filing, prosecution and portfolio management.
• Experience handling UK and European trade mark matters, including oppositions and invalidity actions.
• Ambition to progress towards Partnership within a defined timeframe and capability to develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise on UK, EU and international trade mark clearance, filing and prosecution.
• Manage trade mark registration programmes and portfolio management.
• Lead oppositions, invalidity actions and related contentious matters.
• Provide enforcement guidance and brand protection strategies.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to growth of the TM offering.
• Collaborate with partners to drive the practice forward.
