Job description
Who we are

Good & Proper Tea are London-based, premium tea specialists, loved & served by the UK’s finest cafes, hotels and restaurants, as well as being enjoyed by a loyal and fast-growing community of tea drinkers at home. With 13 years of brewing under our belt, we’re growing faster than ever and are now ready to take things to the next level. That means continuing to build our brand community, ensuring we remain best‑class when it comes to quality, and, as a certified B‑Corp, leading the way on all things sustainability.

We have recently closed a round of fundraising and have ambitious plans to rapidly scale the business and broaden the distribution of our teas, to become the UK’s number 1 premium Tea brand.

The role

We are looking to hire a bright, energetic Brand & Marketing Executive to help bring the Good & Proper brand to life across all our channels and touch points. Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for turning our everyday world - our teas, our partners, our events, our tastings - into engaging, story‑led content.

Working closely with team members across the business, the Brand & Marketing Executive will be a key member of the Marketing team. You’ll be a seriously organised, creative thinker - full of enthusiasm for making things happen. You’ll be able to strike the balance between activating a calendar of content created by our freelancers, with capturing and posting reactive and on‑brand content yourself. You’ll have a strong eye for beautiful content, and be just as comfortable on location as behind the scenes preparing email campaigns, designing a flyer in Canva, or helping shape partner‑facing materials. You’ll be a natural communicator and an active participant in the world we’re building - bringing energy, creativity and consistency to how we show up online and offline.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast‑growing challenger brand and play a hands‑on role in building a brilliant, passionate community around tea done properly.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Planning, creating, and posting content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, both scheduled and reactive, in line with our content strategy and brand voice
  • Running our social media calendar and staying on top of everything happening across the business - from new product launches to partner activations, van festivals and origin trips
  • Turning everyday brand moments into great content - from café visits and training sessions to origin stories and behind‑the‑scenes in the office
  • Designing beautiful on‑brand assets in Canva, including flyers, email headers, partner toolkits, and digital signage
  • Uploading and formatting blog posts and email campaigns in Klaviyo and Shopify
  • Managing day‑to‑day community engagement - responding to comments, DMs and interactions on social channels
  • Supporting the sales and marketing teams with brand materials, presentations and ad hoc assets
  • Keeping our digital content library organised and easy to navigate
You will need to have/be:
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing, content or brand role - ideally in a premium food, drink or lifestyle brand, or agency side with similar clients
  • A strong visual eye and instinct for what makes something feel premium, modern and own‑able
  • Confident using Instagram and TikTok - you understand what cuts through, and how to adapt trends without losing brand integrity
  • Happy filming and photographing brand moments on the go - you know when something’s worth capturing and how to make it look good, even on a phone
  • Comfortable using Canva to produce well‑designed assets that feel elevated and on‑brand
  • Some experience with email and ecommerce platforms such as Klaviyo and Shopify
  • A confident, warm communicator - equally comfortable writing captions, talking to partners or engaging with our community online
  • Organised and detail‑oriented - you’ll be juggling multiple pieces of content and activity, and will need to keep things running smoothly
  • Energetic, proactive and full of ideas — you take initiative, ask the right questions, and get things done
  • Comfortable working flexibly - sometimes out at cafés, events or capturing content on the move
Our core brand values will need to be inherent in your DNA:
  • A bias for action - We are hungry for growth and seeking out new opportunities, then moving with urgency and focus to go after them. We make things happen fast, focusing on what matters, then keep iterating to improve. We don’t let perfection get in the way of progress.
  • Never settle, always question - We always strive to look for better, new or different ways of doing things. The way everyone else is doing it might not be the right way. We always want to be one step ahead.
  • Infectious enthusiasm - We get excited about getting other people excited about tea. Our passion, energy and positivity is infectious across the team, as well as externally. We are genuinely excited about what we’re doing, and others around us can feel it.
  • Doing things properly - Our customers have a lot of choice when it comes to tea, but this integrity and honesty in our approach has earned us their trust. We go the extra mile for each other, for our customers and our suppliers. No‑one cares more than us - we do the right thing.
  • Together we thrive - We thrive on building positive relationships, both within our team and with others in our network. We believe in sharing knowledge, supporting each other, and celebrating successes - taking time to laugh and switch off too.
You’ll benefit from:
  • A fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s fastest growing, most exciting tea brands
  • A clear opportunity to put your mark on our next phase of growth, working with a small, passionate, founder‑led team
  • A chance to make a difference - by raising the profile of speciality tea we are helping build a sustainable and thriving tea industry for the future.
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), plus an additional day off for your birthday and a duvet day
  • A competitive salary + annual bonus
  • Participation in the company EMI share options scheme
  • Free, award‑winning Vitality Healthcare, including Advanced Cancer Cover, Mental Health Cover and other benefits
  • Amazing office space (full of delicious tea) in London Bridge, alongside lots of other challenger brands
  • Hybrid working - you choose where you work best, with flexible working between home and the office (we aim for 3 days in the office to keep things collaborative)
  • Plenty of tea to drink at home and at work
  • Dogs welcome!
