We are currently recruiting for a Brand Delivery Project Expert to join our Marketing team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Department purpose

The brand marketing team leads the overall brand delivery and guardianship for A&O Shearman in terms of helping the firm to delivery consistently high quality creative expression of our brand across every piece of firm communication and collateral. Since the announcement of the merger, the team is responsible for the design, roll‑out and delivery of the identity for A&O Shearman, providing the firm with the new collateral, tools and training it needs to use the new brand well and spearheading implementation across the combined firm estates – from office signage to website to pens.

Role purpose

The Brand Delivery Project Expert will work closely with the core brand team and a variety of marketing and firmwide stakeholders, including our agency partners to develop and deliver the rebrand, while helping us build the firm's capability to deliver a best‑in‑class brand function and output that positions A&O Shearman as a new kind of law firm which is truly one of the best in the world.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Provide project, creative, and strategic support for brand implementation, ensuring timeliness, quality, and alignment with business needs.
  • Assess and prioritise business requests; elevate and advise on issues with core brand team and stakeholders.
  • Support and develop creative projects, offering feedback and problem‑solving to optimise deliverables.
  • Liaise with firmwide stakeholders at all levels during roll‑out, advising as needed from both project and programme perspectives.
  • Assist in delivering and developing agency materials and assets, including guidelines, with both practical and strategic input.
  • Apply creative problem‑solving on live projects; track implementation progress against cost and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the brand team and digital assessment management (DAM) provider to build and manage a digital asset management system.
  • Drive brand roll‑out, stakeholder engagement, communication, and training to establish tools and processes for brand excellence.
  • Support brand launch activities (campaign planning and creative development) in partnership with marketing stakeholders.
  • Act as a key contact for brand‑related queries, providing best‑practice guidance and connecting stakeholders to resources.
Key Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in professional services or legal marketing.
  • Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Team player, adaptable and calm under pressure.
  • Enterprise mindset: understand organisational priorities and how branding supports them.
