Job Description – Branch Operations Manager
As a Branch Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead delivery of protective services across a defined client portfolio, ensuring all contractual obligations are met with excellence.
- Financial Accountability: Jointly own the branch P&L with the Protective Services Development Manager, ensuring margin targets are met or exceeded.
- Service Excellence: Drive high‑quality service delivery through proactive planning, continuous improvement, and alignment with client SLAs and KPIs.
- Workforce Planning: Ensure effective resourcing, scheduling and training of officers and employees to meet operational demands.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, attending KPI/SLA meetings to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse branch KPIs across people, safety, operations, customer satisfaction and financial performance.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of recognition, development and high engagement, promoting the company’s core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
- Succession Planning: Identify and develop talent within the branch to ensure long‑term capability and service continuity.
- Process Improvement: Champion a continuous improvement mindset, using data and business intelligence to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all policies, procedures and training are adhered to.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Protective Services Development Manager and support departments to ensure seamless service delivery and internal alignment.
- Strategic Contribution: Support the achievement of broader business goals by contributing to strategic planning and execution at the branch level.
Qualifications
- A confident and empathetic leader with proven people management skills.
- Commercially aware with experience in P&L ownership, forecasting and budgeting.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
- Skilled in using data and business intelligence to drive performance.
- Flexible and adaptable – willing to work shifts to meet operational needs.
- Right to Work in the UK + 5 year checkable work history.
- Great communicator with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
