JOB TITLE: Group Accountant

SALARY & BENEFITS: £35000
HOURS: 40 hours

We’re delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation to appoint a Management Accountant to join the finance function at one of their key sites in Trowbridge.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of financial reporting, controls, and team development within a fast-paced, commercial environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful financial support to senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate, timely management accounts and reports for senior leadership.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, and audit preparation.
  • Maintain robust financial controls, processes, and compliance standards.
  • Manage and develop the accounts team, supporting their ongoing performance and growth.
  • Oversee cash handling, intercompany transactions, and banking processes.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams and provide clear financial guidance.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
About You
  • Experienced in producing management accounts and leading small finance teams.
  • AAT qualified or equivalent (part-qualified CIMA/ACCA desirable).
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and VAT.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Previous experience in a multi-site or fast-moving commercial environment would be advantageous.
