Overview

Job Title: BPA Origination Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: London or Alderley Park (Wilmslow)

Working style: Hybrid home / office based

The bulk annuity business is an exciting area of growth for Royal London and we currently have an opportunity for a BPA Origination Manager to join the team.

Working closely with the Head of BPA Origination and the wider BPA Origination team you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key trustees and their advisers developing new business pipeline the management of quotes and transactions and working on proposition development.

The candidate will have experience of the bulk annuity market either from an insurer or adviser. The role will suit a high calibre candidate with a strong technical base who would relish the opportunity to further develop their client and commercial exposure at a newer and exciting bulk annuity provider.

About the role
  • Support the delivery of our ambition in the bulk annuity market.
  • Build relationships with trustees and their advisers that enable us to shape an attractive pipeline of business.
  • End-to-end project management of quotation and transaction implementation processes.
  • Contractual and wider commercial negotiations.
  • Engage in technical actuarial discussions with our BPA pricing team and beyond leveraging your defined benefit pensions expertise.
  • Feed into our wider BPA proposition development.
About you
  • Experience of the bulk annuity market either from an insurer or adviser.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience working on transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised and proactive individual.
  • A good understanding of financial markets risk management and the regulatory environment.
