Job summary

University College London Hospitals is recruiting a Specialist Screening Practitioner to join the nurse-led Bowel Cancer Screening service. You will work alongside SSPs, coordinating nurse-led assessments, arranging colonoscopies, and supporting patients through the screening process.

The role requires experience in endoscopy or GI nursing, a full induction, and mentoring to enable participation in clinics and screening lists across multiple sites in North London.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with UK registration and relevant section.
• Experience in endoscopy or gastroenterology.
• Excellent communication in verbal and written formats.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients in the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
• Attend colonoscopy sessions and discuss outcomes with patients.
• Record activity in local and national audit databases.
• Support patient decision-making with information and advocacy.
