  • Carry out practical habitat management and monitoring across Bore Place in line with our habitat management plans.

  • Conduct ecological surveys, monitor wildlife, and report findings.
  • Ensure compliance with wildlife conservation laws and best practices.
  • Support the development of our community garden and wider people-and-nature activities.
  • Assist with on-site events and promotional activities.
  • Work in line with all Health & Safety legislation, completing risk assessments and safety plans.
  • Comply with relevant legal requirements including fire safety, food hygiene, COSHH and other statutory regulations.

As part of our People and Nature Together programme - made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund - we run outdoor learning, citizen science, nature events, skills training, and practical habitat restoration across the estate. We closely monitor six key indicator species (earthworms, dragonflies/damselflies, common blue butterflies, skylarks, reptiles, and dormice) to help guide our long-term nature recovery work.
