Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a disciplined Bordereaux Analyst to join our London team. You will manage the full lifecycle of bordereaux data, ensure accuracy, and support regulatory reporting for delegated authority arrangements.

You will work with Underwriting, Finance and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality analysis, dashboards and management information, driving data quality improvements and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of bordereaux management and governance.
• Experience with Lloyd's and delegated authority reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bordereaux receipt, validation, processing and upload.
• Maintain bordereaux schedules and perform data quality checks.

Join our team as we help shape the future.This role will be based in London, UK and you are required to have the necessary right to work details prior to application. **Role Purpose**The Bordereaux Analyst is responsible for the receipt, validation, analysis and governance of bordereaux data, supporting the effective oversight of delegated authority business through accurate reporting, data quality and compliance with Lloyd's and company market requirements. The role works closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality bordereaux management, analysis and reporting, support portfolio performance monitoring and contribute to continuous process improvement. **Key Responsibilities**• Manage the end-to-end receipt, validation, processing and upload of risk, premium and ensuring compliance with reporting standards, regulatory requirements and internal controls.• Maintain bordereaux schedules, monitor reporting timeliness and perform regular reconciliations and data quality checks.• Analyse bordereaux data, investigate anomalies, missing information and potential contract breaches, and resolve queries with internal and external stakeholders.• Support the development and ongoing enhancement of bordereaux reporting and management information capabilities, producing dashboards, trend analysis and ad hoc reporting to support underwriting, operational decision-making, delegated authority governance, and regulatory requirements.• Support Underwriters in monitoring binder and portfolio performance through the provision of bordereaux analysis, management information and the identification and escalation of recurring data quality issues, reporting and performance issues.• Produce monthly booked EPI reports, oversee the quarterly EPI review process and provide reporting to relevant committees and stakeholders.• Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance and delegated authority partners to ensure effective management of bordereaux and EPI activities.• Maintain accurate records of submissions, validations, exceptions and resolutions, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.Support delegated authority oversight activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data quality, reporting efficiency and operational effectiveness. **Other Duties**• The job description is intended to describe the main duties only. Job holders are expected to maintain flexibility and perform all other reasonable duties that relate to the job as assigned by Hartford Global Specialty **Procedures**• Ensures that all policies and procedures are adhered to• Adhere to any common standards set across the company and ensures that policies and procedures are adequately documented• Undertake continued Professional Development and comply with The Hartford, Global Specialty, procedures **Experience & Qualifications**• Previous experience in a Bordereaux, Delegated Authority, Underwriting Operations, or similar role within the Lloyd's and/or Company Market.• Strong understanding of delegated authority arrangements and governance frameworks, bordereaux management, , Lloyd’s market processes and regulatory requirements.• Strong understanding of premium and risk bordereaux, including validation, reconciliation, and data quality controls.• Experience using Lloyd's and delegated authority market systems such as Atlas, DCOM, IMR, Crystal, or similar platforms.• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data cleansing, reconciliation, and analysis.• Experience with data mapping, data integration, and reporting tools.• Ability to interpret, analyse and present complex premium, risk and EPI data.• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines.• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across underwriting, operations, finance and external stakeholders.• Proactive approach to identifying data quality issues, improving processes and driving operational efficiencies.• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent; degree-level education is advantageous.• Progress towards, or willingness to undertake, relevant insurance qualifications (e.g. CII, LM1, LM2) is desirable.• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
