Job summary

A small business in the conveyor industry located in Welshpool is seeking an individual to manage accounting functions. You will support the Administration team and handle financial transactions, tax compliance, and reporting. The role offers negotiable part time or full time hours with flexibility. Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Recent experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook necessary.
  • Experience working with multiple foreign currencies preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions and accounting operations.
  • Ensure tax compliance including Payroll Tax and BAS.
  • Prepare budgets and cashflow forecasts as needed.
  • Liaise with team members, suppliers, and external accountant.

RKM Roller Company is an international business working in the conveyor industry with our head office located in Welshpool.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a friendly small business team with immediate start available.

About the Role

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will provide support to the Administration team as well as manage the end-to-end accounting functions of the business & its related entities.

This is a permanent role, negotiable part time or full time position with flexible hours and flexible days offered.

Duties

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing day to day financial transactions, accounting operations including processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Tax compliance including Payroll Tax, BAS, PAYG, Superannuation & FBT
  • Bank reconciliations, credit card statements and foreign currency revaluations
  • Preparation of budgets, cashflow forecasts and other adhoc reporting
  • Liaise with members of the team, suppliers, customers and external accountant
  • Provide support to the Administration Team as required
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
  • Recent experience in a similar role
  • Unlimited rights to work in Australia
  • Previous experience using Sage Evolution, Smart Payroll & MYOB preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Previous experience working with multiple foreign currencies
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • An ability to work as part of a team and communicate at all levels in the organization
