Reed Practice, a well-established chartered accounts firm, is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join their busy team. The role covers processing invoices, payroll (desirable), reconciliations, VAT returns and assisting with management accounts, using cloud-based accounting software.Applicants should have bookkeeping experience, an AAT qualification or be qualified by experience, and experience in an accounting firm or similar environment handling multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, payments and journals.
• Process payroll and pension submissions (desirable).
• Complete bank, credit card and control account reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and within deadlines.
• Maintain accurate accounting records using cloud-based accounting software.
• Assist with management accounts preparation.
• Liaise with clients regarding bookkeeping queries and financial information requests.

We are seeking an experienced, full time Bookkeeper to join their busy team.

They offer a friendly and supportive environment, and for the past nearly six decades have maintained strong, consistent relationships with clients both local, national and international.

This is a full-time post due to the success of the firm and number of clients new and historic they service. As Bookkeeper your role will include -

• Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, payments, and journals.
• Process payroll and pension submissions (desirable).
• Complete bank, credit card, and control account reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and within deadlines.
• Maintain accurate accounting records using cloud-based accounting software.
• Assist with management accounts preparation.
• Liaise directly with clients regarding bookkeeping queries and financial information requests.
• Support year-end account preparation by ensuring records are complete and accurate.

We are flexible as to who we are looking for but you must have -

• Bookkeeping experience, either with or without payroll.
• AAT qualification or qualified by experience
• Work experience in an accounting firm - or another similar environment where you have undertaken bookkeeping for multiple separate entities.
