Bookkeeper Trainee role within the Early Careers Programme at Sumer Group, based in Swindon. This permanent position is designed for those starting their journey into accountancy, combining practical work with professional study towards a qualification.

You’ll learn on the job, join the Sumer Academy, study online and in-person, and work with a range of clients, gaining hands-on experience in preparing accounts, supporting audits, and delivering business advice from day one.

Qualifications

• Strong A-Level or equivalent academic background with minimum GCSE English grade C/5 and Maths grade B/6.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to balance study and work commitments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accounts and supporting audits under supervision.
• Provide insightful tax and business advice as you learn.
• Engage with clients and colleagues to develop practical accounting skills.
