Job summary

A family-run business in Folkestone is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the finance function. This role includes maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and assisting with monthly reconciliations and reports. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience and an AAT qualification. The Company

Our client is a wonderful, family-run business based in Folkestone, known for its warm, supportive, and collaborative working culture. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join the team and support the smooth running of the finance function.

The Role

As the Bookkeeper, you will play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This is a varied and hands‑on position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close‑knit team and managing a broad range of accounting responsibilities. The role is part‑time across 3 days per week, with flexibility around the working pattern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update financial records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process and manage payments to suppliers and clients.
  • Carry out monthly reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.
