Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
  • Ensure all month-end deadlines are met.
  • Handle journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Manage income allocations and bank payments.
  • Prepare payroll information and manage ledgers.
  • Provide updates to Senior Management on budget variances.

Overview

Axon Moore are delighted to be working in collaboration with a growing business based in Barnsley, they are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a part time basis.

Reporting into a supportive and engaging Leadership team, the role will be hands on and varied. You will be the organisations go to finance person, there is a genuine opportunity for you to develop processes and systems.

The role will be for around 18 hours a week and there is flexibility as to when these houre are worked,

As the only finance person in the organisation on a day to day basis, the role requires solid all round experience in a varied role. You will have the support of a Finance Director.

The Job
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income and expenditure
  • Ensure all month end deadlines are met
  • Journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Income allocations
  • Raise bank payments as required
  • VAT
  • Preparing payroll information
  • Sales ledger
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Working with the Exec Finance Director on ad hoc projects
  • General administration support for Finance
  • Provide regular updates to Senior Management about budget variances and financial performance.
