Job summary

Fame Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Bookkeeper/Management Accountant to join their NW London practice. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping and management accounts, working closely with the Financial Controller to drive accurate reporting and financial insight.

The role also involves process improvements through technology, automation and AI, with opportunities for progression in a forward-thinking firm. AAT or ACCA/CIMA qualifications and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Bookkeeper/Management Accountant or similar role.
• AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Xero, Sage or similar.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and management accounts.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in AI and automation.
• Organised, hands-on and proactive with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, sales and purchase ledgers.
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Credit control and debt management.
• Assist with VAT, payroll and pension requirements.
• Support budgeting, cash flow and forecasting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
• Help improve processes through technology, automation and AI.
• Provide general support to the Financial Controller and assist with ad hoc projects.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join an established and forward-thinking professional practice in NW London.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day accounts function while also supporting the preparation of management accounts and wider financial reporting.
