Job summary

A medium sized independent practice firm in Plymouth is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper. You will manage bookkeeping for multiple clients, prepare VAT and CIS returns, and collaborate with clients to maintain strong relationships. The role requires at least 2 years of experience and familiarity with Xero and other accounting systems. A focus on attention to detail and a can-do attitude are essential. Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a medium sized independent practice firm based in Plymouth who are looking for a Bookkeeper.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping for a range of clients primarily using Xero but with some work on other well-known accounting systems.
• Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT returns and CIS returns.
• Preparing management accounts to draft stage for review by a Client Manager.
• Liaising with clients and managing relationships.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• QBE or AAT qualified (or equivalent)
• Have worked in a similar position previously with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
• Always ensure you maintain an excellent level of attention to detail.
• Have a can-do attitude with a continuous drive for improvement.
