JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a successful and well-established business in Huddersfield to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper on a permanent basis.

This is a standalone role, responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's finances. You will oversee all bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all daily financial records accurately and confidentially
  • Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and customer payments
  • Prepare and run a small monthly payroll in line with HMRC requirements
  • Complete regular bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Produce monthly and year-end reports using Sage 50
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and management reporting
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required
  • Maintain clear and organised financial documentation
