A recruitment agency in finance is looking for a reliable Bookkeeper to join a finance team in Bradford. Responsibilities include managing sales and purchase ledgers, assisting with payroll, and supporting month-end reporting. You’ll be a key part of a small, supportive team, working closely with the Finance Director to ensure the smooth running of day‑to‑day financial operations.
Preparing and issuing customer invoices.
Managing credit control and resolving queries.
Ensuring payments are received on time and following up where needed.
Processing supplier invoices and reconciling accounts.
Managing payment runs and handling discrepancies.
Performing daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
Assisting with payroll by checking timesheets and resolving issues.
Handling HR admin for new starters and leavers, ensuring compliance.
Supporting balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., fixed assets, accruals, prepayments).
Review overheads and investigating variances.
Assisting with monthly stock counts and cost analysis for board reporting.
Solid experience using Xero.
Confident with Excel for everyday tasks and reporting.
Familiar with general office systems and workflows.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
