Sharp Consultancy is proud to be working with a well‑established and forward‑thinking organisation that is seeking a reliable and experienced Bookkeeper to join its finance team.

You’ll be a key part of a small, supportive team, working closely with the Finance Director to ensure the smooth running of day‑to‑day financial operations.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Sales Ledger:

• Preparing and issuing customer invoices.

• Managing credit control and resolving queries.

• Ensuring payments are received on time and following up where needed.

Purchase Ledger:

• Processing supplier invoices and reconciling accounts.

• Managing payment runs and handling discrepancies.

Banking & Reconciliation:

• Performing daily bank and credit card reconciliations.

Payroll & HR Support:

• Assisting with payroll by checking timesheets and resolving issues.

• Handling HR admin for new starters and leavers, ensuring compliance.

Month‑End & Reporting Support:

• Supporting balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., fixed assets, accruals, prepayments).

• Review overheads and investigating variances.

• Assisting with monthly stock counts and cost analysis for board reporting.

What You’ll Bring:

• Solid experience using Xero.

• Confident with Excel for everyday tasks and reporting.

• Familiar with general office systems and workflows.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
