Job description

The post-holder is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Vascular Surgery service. The post-holder will be required to follow policies and procedures and communicate effectively as appropriate. Working as part of a team you will primarily be responsible for managing inpatient work queue on hive.

The post holder will play a key role in ensuring that patients are treated in line with waiting list principles and target time frames set out in the Trust Access Policy.

The post holder will take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of all clinics, ensuring they operate at full capacity and escalating any issues in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role also includes maintaining accurate and timely records of all clinic activities to prevent unnecessary open registrations.

A key aspect of the role will be supporting the achievement of Referral to Treatment (RTT) standards by closely monitoring patient pathways, addressing potential delays, and ensuring that data is recorded accurately to maintain compliance with national requirements.

Using the electronic patient record system, HIVE, the post holder will review patient task lists and actively manage patient pathways to meet national performance targets.
