Job description

We are looking to recruit 2 highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to provide comprehensive administrative and bookings support for Manchester Heart Centre.

Responsibilities

The postholder will work closely with clinical and administrative staff, providing administrative support related to the booking of patients requiring cardiology review, diagnostics, or other heart related procedures.

The role includes booking clinic appointments, diagnostic tests, producing appointment correspondence, requesting images and clinical reports from outside the department, checking our online system daily for new referrals, and attending weekly PTL meetings to track progress. The postholder will also provide cover and support for other administrative and coordination team members during their absences, ensuring continuity of service and minimal disruption to patient scheduling and access.

Qualifications

You must have good all‑round administration skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customer service experience, and be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office.

You will have attention to detail and the ability to prioritise incoming work so as to meet deadlines. With a strong emphasis on customer service, you will also have the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
