Job Title: Bodyworks / MEP Fitter - Accident Repair

Location: Croydon.

Pay Rate: £20 - £22 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are a well-established car accident repair company looking for an experienced Bodyworks / MEP Fitter to join our workshop team. This role focuses on non-engine mechanical, electrical, and body‑related fitting work following accident repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and refit steering, suspension, subframes, axles, and chassis components
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical fitting related to body and accident damage
  • Align and refit components to manufacturer specifications
  • Diagnose and repair accident‑related faults (excluding engines)
  • Work closely with panel beaters and painters to ensure high‑quality repairs
  • Maintain excellent standards of safety, workmanship, and cleanliness
  • Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bodyworks Fitter / MEP Fitter or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of steering, suspension, braking, and chassis systems
  • Experience within a vehicle accident repair environment
  • Must have own tools
  • MEP qualifications beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Relevant trade qualifications or time‑served experience preferred
