Job summary

A leading automotive recruitment consultancy is seeking a Bodyshop Advisor in Southend-on-Sea. This role involves managing customer-facing activities, handling enquiries, and ensuring excellent service in a busy bodyshop environment. Qualifications

  • Experience in the motor trade is essential.
  • Backgrounds include Service Advisor, Parts Advisor or similar automotive roles.
  • Good understanding of vehicles and repair processes.

Responsibilities

  • Managing front-of-house and customer-facing activity.
  • Handling customer enquiries and booking in vehicles.
  • Communicating with technicians and providing updates.
  • Producing estimates and assisting with invoicing tasks.
  • Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.

Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm (1-hour lunch)

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Managing all front‑of‑house and customer‑facing activity

  • Handling customer enquiries, booking in vehicles and providing updates throughout the repair process

  • Communicating with technicians and keeping customers informed on progress

  • Producing estimates and assisting with basic invoicing tasks

  • Ensuring excellent levels of customer service

  • Supporting smooth day‑to‑day bodyshop operations


Your Background & Skill


  • Experience in the motor trade is essential — Bodyshop Advisor experience not required

  • Suitable backgrounds include: Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, or similar front‑of‑house automotive roles

  • Strong communication and customer‑handling skills

  • Good understanding of vehicles and repair processes

  • Organised, professional and able to manage a busy workload
