Sytner Group is seeking an Assistant Accountant at our Wolverhampton dealership, representing BMW. You will support the Dealership Accountant and contribute to daily financial operations, preparing accounts up to trial balance.

Strong Excel and IT skills are essential, with familiarity of Kerridge/CDK and motor industry experience preferred. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate financial information on tight deadlines, while interacting with operational teams

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre Assistant Accountant to join our Sytner Wolverhampton team.

Supporting our Dealership Accountant, you will contribute to the daily financial operations of the business and play a key role in preparing accounts up to trial balance

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Reconciliation of control accounts
• Supporting month-end processes
• Producing accurate financial information to strict deadlines
• Working closely with operational teams to ensure compliance and accuracy
• This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone with an excellent eye for detail and strong computer skills, especially in Excel.
• Knowledge of Kerridge/CDK and experience in the Motor Industry is highly desirable.

About You

• Ideally, experience with Kerridge/CDK and familiarity with the Motor Industry
• A proven track record in accounts or finance
• A good working knowledge of general accountancy procedures
• Experience reconciling control accounts and preparing accounts to trial balance
• Excellent Excel and IT skills

You will also bring key personal qualities such as honesty, integrity, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for producing high-quality, accurate work.
