Job summary

A leading safety services provider in Birmingham seeks a Technical Sales & Estimating Manager to drive growth across the South. This dual-function role combines business development with estimating expertise, focusing on BMU and cradle systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and proven sales experience. The position offers a salary of up to £60k, vehicle allowance, and career progression opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

  • Strong engineering/technical background in mechanical, structural, façade, or suspended access.
  • Proven experience in sales and estimating.
  • Ability to prepare technical specifications and reports.
  • Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Strong organisational skills for multiple opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the South.
  • Manage the full sales process: prospecting, site surveys, and contract negotiation.
  • Carry out technical site visits and produce system specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
