BMS Supervisor - On-Site Lead for Major Commercial Project

Job summary

Dornan in London is seeking a BMS Supervisor to lead the on-site supervision, testing, commissioning and handover of the BMS on a major commercial project. You’ll coordinate with M&E teams, subcontractors and commissioning personnel to deliver safe, quality systems on time.

Reporting to the BMS Manager, you will manage day-to-day BMS activities, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, drive progress, and participate in close-out documentation and QA records for client handover.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising BMS installation and commissioning on large-scale commercial or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of BMS controls, field devices, panels and systems integration.
• Experience coordinating BMS subcontractors on site.
• Knowledge of BMS testing, commissioning, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of site quality, snagging and project close-out processes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day BMS installation and commissioning activities on site.
• Coordinate BMS works with mechanical, electrical and wider project workstreams.
• Manage and monitor BMS subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, correctly and to programme.
• Monitor installation progress and identify potential delays, clashes or technical issues.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure BMS panels, controls, field devices and associated systems are installed and ready for commissioning.
• Support BMS testing, commissioning, witnessing and system troubleshooting.
• Monitor snagging and drive completion of outstanding works ahead of commissioning and handover.
• Ensure site Health & Safety requirements are maintained throughout BMS activities.
• Attend coordination, progress and commissioning meetings as required.
• Assist with resolving installation and commissioning issues with subcontractors and project teams.
• Support project close-out, including QA documentation, O&M information, commissioning records and handover documentation.
