Job summary

Honeywell Building Automation in Bracknell, UK, is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer to lead BMS design, implementation and commissioning on complex projects. You will act as the subject matter expert, driving technical excellence and delivering within a remote work schedule from our Bracknell location.

The role requires hands-on BMS design, strong Niagara 4 and CPO Studio skills, and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or substantial Electrical/Electronic experience.
• BMS/HVAC engineering experience - 5+ years minimum.
• Expertise in electronic BMS systems (hardware and software).
• Niagara Framework - design & commissioning expertise.
• CPO Studio for control logic development and system configuration.
• Solid IT infrastructure understanding and remote interconnectivity.
• Pro-active, organised, and deadline-driven.
• Experience with control panels design and MCCs.
• Strong understanding of high-end BMS applications.
• Self-learner of new products and applications.
• Ability to solve complex problems and communicate well.

As an Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and development of complex engineering projects, acting as the subject matter expert and driving technical excellence. You will report directly to our Sr Eng Pgm Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Bracknell, Berkshire, United Kingdom location on a Remote work schedule.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in Building Management Systems (BMS) to lead and deliver complex projects from design through commissioning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in BMS design, implementation, and commissioning, with advanced knowledge of Niagara 4 platform and CPO Studio.

Key responsibilities

• Electronic BMS systems engineering, implementation and documentation
• Identification of customer needs and translating these into workable solutions
• Produce Hardware BMS Design deliverables from specification and construction drawings
• Support Project Manager with planning / scheduling and quality assurance
• Develop detailed BMS designs, control strategies, and integration plans for HVAC

Key skills and qualifications

• Engineering degree or considerable experience within an Electrical/Electronic field
• BMS / HVAC engineering experience - at least 5+ Years
• Expertise in electronic BMS systems (hardware and software)
• Expertise in Niagara Framework - Design & Commissioning
• Proficiency in using CPO Studio for control logic development and system configuration
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure and how remote systems interconnect.
• Demonstrates a pro-active approach, displaying a 'can-do' attitude.
• Be organised, logical and achieve agreed delivery deadlines.
• Expertise with Control Panels design and/or Motor Control Centres design
• A solid understanding of high-end BMS applications
• Proactive/self learner of new products and applications
• Ability to find solutions to complex problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
