Job summary

RG Setsquare in Stevenage is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join our Facilities Management team on a prestigious static site. You will maintain the Building Management System, support critical services, and work with a skilled engineering team to ensure safe, efficient operations.

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to work to SLAs and maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on the site's Building Management System (BMS)
• Diagnosing and resolving BMS and HVAC faults to minimise downtime and improve system performance
• Completing scheduled maintenance tasks and ensuring all work orders are completed accurately and on time
• Providing technical support and guidance to the wider engineering and maintenance teams
• Maintaining and supporting the site's networked Building Management System
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring the BMS remains fully operational at all times
• Coordinating technical queries with site teams and specialist contractors
• Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the site's BMS and HVAC strategy
• Managing user access and maintaining the integrity of the Building Management System
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and site procedures
• Building strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and site stakeholders

We're looking for an experienced BMS Engineer to join a well-established Facilities Management team on a prestigious static site in Stevenage.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

• Proven experience working in a BMS Engineering or Technical BMS role
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent IT and networking knowledge
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Ability to work to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintenance schedules

Desirable:

• Experience working with Johnson Controls Metasys Building Management Systems
• BMS apprenticeship or relevant BMS qualifications
• Good working knowledge of HVAC systems
• Previous experience within a Facilities Management environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
