Qualifications

Job description

If you are an experienced BMS controls engineer and fed up of travelling, this could be the perfect opportunity to move away from that. My Client now has an exciting opportunity for a BMS Engineer to join their team at a prestigious site. The role is working on a Monday to Friday basis – 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor highly automated equipment, plant and HVAC.
  • Perform PPM & reactive maintenance and provide support to the M&E maintenance team where required.
  • Support the projects team in design, commissioning and installation projects.
  • Respond to system monitoring alarms for mechanical and electrical systems (power distribution, control systems, voice/data, refrigeration, etc).

Essential Qualifications
  • Experience in Building Controls environment.
  • Background in Electrical Engineering.
  • DDC/PLC controls to interrogation level.
  • HVAC control and theory.
  • Fault finding of panel wiring diagrams.
  • Calibration of field equipment.
  • Fault finding of software flow diagrams.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Worked/trained in leading Building Management Controls (Siemens, Trend 963, Schneider, Johnsons, Sauter, ABB, CMR or Honeywell).
  • Understanding of DDC/PLC controls to a programming level.
  • Understanding of SCADA.
  • Instrumentation and/or controls calibration.
  • Fire alarm systems.
  • CCTV systems.
  • Security systems.
  • Vacuum drainage systems.
  • Design and set up of PPM regime.
  • Quality assurance.
