Overview

We are looking for a BMS Comissioning Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a BMS Comissioning Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

Responsibilities

• Use a range of BMS solutions, including Trend, Tridium, and Distech.
• Work closely with project managers, coordinators, engineers, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Conduct site visits during project mobilisation to understand plant and site requirements, ensuring accurate software strategies and head-end schematics.
• Create and use standard strategy and schematic designs that are easy for the design and commissioning teams to understand and adopt.
• Mentor and coach Controls Engineers to help develop their skills and strengthen the team\'s knowledge base.
• Take full ownership of commissioning new BMS installations and Graphics Head Ends, ensuring systems meet client expectations.
• Carry out surveys, proposals, and quotes for new project works.
• Support the wider BMS Operations teams with PPMs and reactive callouts on selected sites when needed.
• Verify software strategy design throughout the commissioning process and provide documented evidence of system operation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience at the Trend Expert competency level, with the ability to confidently modify energy-biased software and professional schematics.
• Familiarity with the Trend SET software tool; experience with Tridium N4 is desirable.
• Ability to integrate solutions and systems using multiple protocols, including Modbus, MBus, and BACnet.
• Strong understanding of IT networks and IP configuration.
• Skilled in building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, with a focus on effective problem-solving.
• Understanding of metering systems and open protocol solutions.
