Job summary

BM Caterers in London is hiring a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen clean, stocked and running smoothly across a rotating shift pattern.

Shifts include 06:30-15:00, 07:00-15:30, 09:30-18:00 and 14:00-22:30, with flexibility to cover all shifts. This is a great entry point to build a catering career in a supportive, professional kitchen.

You will wash utensils, help with basic food prep, assist deliveries and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Hardworking and reliable with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a busy kitchen.
• No prior kitchen experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Wash utensils, equipment and work areas thoroughly.
• Assist with basic food preparation when needed.
• Help with deliveries, storage and stock movement.
• Follow food safety, COSHH and health and safety procedures.
• Support chefs and the wider kitchen team during service.
• Help create a safe and efficient working environment.

We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly.

Working Hours: This role requires flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern covering 06:30-15:00, 07:00-15:30, 09:30-18:00, and 14:00-22:30. Candidates must be available to work all shifts as scheduled.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to start or build a career in catering while working in a supportive and professional kitchen environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting with basic food preparation where needed

• Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team during service
