Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an experienced Blow Mould Technician to join an established manufacturing business in Leominster. You will maintain, optimise and improve high-speed blow moulding equipment within a modern manufacturing environment.

You will set up, maintain and troubleshoot machinery, diagnose faults and optimise processing parameters to ensure quality and efficiency. The role requires a hands-on, independent approach with the ability to support colleagues in best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in blow moulding, plastics manufacturing or similar production environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills; electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with machine set-up, process optimisation and tooling changeovers.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and maintain production performance under pressure.
• Hands-on, independent worker who can support colleagues in best practices.

Responsibilities

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 + Overtime Available
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days

An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Blow Mould Technician to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to play a key role in maintaining, optimising and improving high-speed production equipment within a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot blow moulding machinery and associated production equipment.
• Carry out fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance to maximise machine uptime and performance.
• Optimise processing parameters to ensure product quality, efficiency and material performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment overhauls and changeovers.
• Train and support colleagues in best practices relating to processing, maintenance and fault diagnosis.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a blow moulding, plastics manufacturing or similar production environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills, with electrical knowledge highly desirable.
• Experience of machine set-up, process optimisation and tooling changeovers.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and maintain production performance under pressure.
• Positive, hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently and support the development of others.
