Job summary
Breedon Group in Beauly, Balblair, is seeking a reliable Block Plant Operative to join our manufacturing team. You will help produce, handle, and quality-check concrete blocks, operate plant machinery, and follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
This permanent, full-time role offers hands-on work, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities to support maintenance and site operations across production tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate block manufacturing machinery and related plant safely and efficiently to meet production targets
- Assist in the production, curing, and handling of concrete blocks and related products
- Carry out routine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance on plant machinery
- Safely move, stack and prepare finished products for storage and dispatch
- Follow daily production schedules and instructions from supervisors
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Report machinery faults, safety concerns or production issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
- Assist with stock control, site inspections and audits as required
- Work across different tasks and support colleagues to meet business needs
