Description
We are currently seeking a Block Plant Operative, to support our operations at Wickwar, in Gloucestershire.
The ideal candidate will have experience with operating fork lift trucks, and other machinery.
Ideally, you will hold a UK driving license, allowing an easier commute to and from the Wickwar site.
This role operates on a 50 hour contract per week, Monday to Friday, working shifts. Please note, no night working is required within this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock the yard with finished goods using mobile plant ensuring the plant can run continuously
- Replenish the raw material storage bins as required to maintain production
- Clean the Mixer and associated plant daily maintaining the standards required
- Complete General Housekeeping duties
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Comply at all times with Breedon Health and Safety rules and procedures maintaining a positive health and safety culture. Where possible improve site health and safety standards using recognised reporting procedures
- To work in accordance with Site procedures
- To attend work as required by your employment contract including overtime where agreed. Absence policy to be followed at all times. (50 Hours/week Mon-Sat, Actual shift dependent on Production Demands refer to exact detail in your contract)
- To work as a team member to achieve Company and site goals.
- To work effectively and efficiently to a high level, to achieve daily production requirements to the quality standards required
- To be proactive and flexible in providing assistance with operational requirements
- To complete all relevant documentation as required ensuring compliance with systems
- Embrace training and development to enable multi skilled working.
- Ensure equipment you use to perform your role is maintained and cleaned to a high standard reporting any issues that may affect production levels or their safe use
- Generate improvement ideas to develop the site to produce a more efficient product
- Be open to feedback from line management and/or colleagues in order to improve personal and company standards in all areas.
- Maintain a high standards of hygiene when using site facilities
- Follow the concept of ‘get it right first time’
- Carry out all other reasonable duties as required by your line manager and that are commensurate with the nature of your job
