UJIA’s main office is in Golders Green at Amelie House, 221 Golders Green Rd, London NW11 9DQ with travel to our offices in Manchester, Leeds and Israel as required and working from home in accordance with our flexible working policy. This role will regularly be expected to travel for work in the UK with occasional travel to Israel.
As Birthright Growth Manager, you will lead on the development and delivery of a strategic recruitment plan to significantly increase participation in Birthright Israel programmes across the UK and Ireland. This includes achieving ambitious growth targets of 1,000 participants in 2026 and generating 2,000 qualified leads, while raising awareness of all Birthright Israel offerings—including the 10-Day Classic, Onward Israel, and Volunteer programmes—through strategic partnerships, innovative outreach, and digital engagement.
Working closely with UJIA and Birthright Israel’s Global Marketing team and the trip Organiser, you will drive activity that strengthens relationships, expands networks, and ensure the highest quality participant experience. This is a visible role that combines strategic planning with handson implementation and plays a critical part in expanding the reach and impact of Birthright Israel programmes in the UK. Responsibilities
- To develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment growth strategy for all Birthright Israel programmes.
- To achieve ambitious recruitment targets, including 1,000 participants in 2026 and the generation of 2,000 qualified leads, while expanding awareness of Birthright programmes across the UK Jewish community.
- To build and manage strategic partnerships with Jewish organisations, youth movements, campus groups, and community networks to generate high-quality leads and broaden outreach.
- To strengthen relationships with key partners, including the Union of Jewish Students (UJS), Jewish Small Communities Network (JSCN), synagogues, and marketing outlets, to enhance recruitment efforts and engage smaller or harder-to-reach communities.
- To lead and participate in in-person recruitment activities, including fairs, campus events, and presentations and young adult events, representing Birthright Israel.
- To develop and implement innovative grassroots and peer-to-peer recruitment initiatives, including incentive-based programmes where appropriate, to drive engagement among target demographics.
- To support UJIA and Birthrights marketing efforts through content creation, community engagement, targeted campaigns, and timely response to enquiries, ensuring alignment with global messaging.
- To manage the production and distribution of marketing collateral such as banners, flyers, and merchandise to support recruitment efforts and maintain brand consistency.
- To analyse market insights and on-the-ground feedback to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities, adapting strategies and tactics to maximise recruitment impact.
- To work closely with trip organisers to ensure an exceptional pre-trip participant experience, delivering strong customer care and supporting optimal programme capacity from initial enquiry to departure.
- To contribute to annual planning and reporting processes, providing regular updates on progress against objectives and ensuring recruitment data is accurately tracked in CRM systems and project management tools.
- To collaborate closely with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure all recruitment activity is strategically aligned and contributes to UJIA and Birthright Israel’s overall goals.
- To undertake any other tasks as may reasonably be expected of an employee, as instructed by the VP of Global Marketing or UJIA senior leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in recruitment, community engagement, or related fields, ideally within the charity sector, Jewish community, or travel/experiential education sectors.
- Demonstrated success in building partnerships and achieving measurable growth targets.
- Strong strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
- Exceptional relationship-building and networking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity in social media content creation and basic digital marketing tools.
- Strong execution skills, with attention to logistics and impact.
- Familiarity with the UK Jewish community landscape and its key institutions.
- Experience working with student or young adult programmes.
- Understanding of data-driven recruitment tactics and CRM systems.
- Previous participation in an Israel Experience programme.
- A deep commitment to UJIA and Birthright’s Missions.
- Good time management with the ability to multitask and prioritise work across varied deadlines.
- Skilled and confident in pitching and presenting to different audiences.
- Ability to build credibility quickly with stakeholders and community leaders, inspiring confidence and engagement.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK, with occasional travel abroad as required.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to take initiative and drive forward fundraising opportunities independently and collaboratively.

- High level of computer literacy and understanding of spreadsheets and databases and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems.
