Engitix, a London-based biotechnology company pioneering ECM‑driven drug discovery, seeks an experienced Facilities & Operations Lead on a 12‑month contract. You will provide strategic and hands‑on leadership across laboratory operations, facilities, safety, quality/compliance, and business continuity to support clinical development and scale‑up.

You will partner with scientific teams, manage external vendors, and ensure safe, compliant facilities and resilient operations across the business.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience leading facilities and/or operations in biotech/pharma or scientific research.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, equipment lifecycle management, and infra planning.
• Experience in regulated environments (HTA, ISO, GxP) with audit readiness.
• Solid health and safety management, COSHH, incident/emergency response.
• Ability to manage landlords, contractors and external consultants.

Aufgaben

• Oversee laboratory and scientific operations, ensuring suitable facilities, equipment and support.
• Lead infrastructure planning, procurement, installation and qualification of new equipment.
• Maintain governance, risk management, and compliance with policies, SOPs and records.
• Own business-continuity and disaster-recovery plans, test and improve continuity measures.
• Develop and mentor the Laboratory Manager, partnering with scientific leaders.
