Job summary

Job description

The main duties will include the receipt and pre-analytical processing of patient samples; inputting patient and specimen details into the laboratory computer system; loading automated analysers, basic troubleshooting; dealing with telephone enquiries regarding results of laboratory investigations and general housekeeping duties. The work can sometimes be quite physically demanding. Successful candidates must have good keyboard, communication and organisational skills, together with an excellent work ethic. You must demonstrate our behaviours, known as our four pillars.

Qualifications
  • Genuine interest in science and a scientific qualification, plus a Mathematics and English qualification equivalent to GCSE A–E.
  • Previous laboratory or healthcare experience.
